Albriton's History John Leslie Albriton, Sr.

Our grandfather, John Leslie Albriton, Sr. founded Albriton's Jewelry in 1920 shortly after serving in World War I. Mr. Albriton, Sr. completed his training as a master watchmaker at Webb C. Ball Watch Co. in Cleveland, Ohio. The first store was located on Capitol Street in downtown Jackson, Mississippi. This was to be the first of three different locations in downtown Jackson over the years.

John Leslie Albriton, Jr. John Leslie Albriton, Jr. was born in 1924. John Jr. started helping his father in the store after school in the late 1930's. Following the war, John completed his education at Mississippi State University. In 1947, John joined his father in the business.
